After being closed down several months because of the pandemic, the AHBC Women’s Ministry has started meeting again. We have reorganized and formed several committees for Fellowship, Prayer Groups, Bible Study and Missions, etc. For more information please contact Suzanne Noble, our Women’s Ministry Director, or the Church Office.

Mission Opportunities

The Women’s Ministry of AHBC has started two Mission Opportunities
and we need your help!

Sisters Helping Neighbors - Food Drive
We are collecting items needed by First Baptist Church - Allen, to help with their Food Pantry, which is getting hit hard right now with all that is going on.  We will have a bin/tub sitting outside the main door to the Church Office. Church members are encouraged to add something from the following list to their grocery list and drop it off in the bin/tub. Every two weeks we will update the list of things needed the most so stay tuned!

Week of February 8th - February 19th
Chicken Noodle Soup
Hamburger Helper
Pancake/Baking Mix
Dish Soap

Sisters Helping Sisters - Mother’s Day Purse Surprise
The Women’s Ministry is collecting New or Gently Used Purses. We plan to fill the purses with items women need or want and donate them to a Homeless Shelter to be given out on Mother’s Day, May 9th.

You can drop off your new or gently used purses at the Church. (Another bin/tub will be placed out front of the Church Office door.) We will be collecting purses from February 8th to April 30th. Once all the purses are collected, we will “stuff” them and deliver them to the shelter in time for Mother’s Day. If you like you can donate $5 to help pay for the “stuff,” you may place it in the donated purse or make it a designated donation on your offering.

We hope you will get involved and support these Mission Opportunities as we reach out to our Neighbors and Sisters to minister to them.
