What To Expect

Allen Heights Baptist Church is a welcoming family of believers that desires to Love God & Love Others in all that we do. We want you to feel excited and encouraged from the moment you step foot on our campus! Here are a few commonly asked questions that will give you an idea of what to expect!

What do I wear? We do not have a dress code at AHBC, and you will see members wearing everything from “casual attire” to “Sunday best.” Our congregation is a collection of people from different backgrounds united in one common purpose of giving glory to God! Wear what you feel comfortable in.

What about childcare and when is service? There are Life Groups for every age group during the 9:30 a.m. hour including adults, youth, children, and nursery age. During our 10:45 a.m. Sunday morning Worship Service, there is a nursery available (ages birth to 5 years old) in the Christian Life Center, the back building on our campus. We desire for our families to worship together, so we have folders with activities for children (kindergarten and above) to keep them engaged in the Worship Service.

What does our Worship Service look like? Our Worship Service involves both music and preaching as well as a time of fellowship and an opportunity for response. Our music style is a mixture of hymns and contemporary worship music that is biblically sound and musically interesting. We have a time of meet and greet to fellowship with our church family and visitors. Our pastor preaches engaging and theologically sound sermons based on scripture. Once a quarter, we celebrate the Lord’s Supper and have Baptism periodically.
