Our first meeting will include: an introduction to the book, taking book orders ($10-$15), chat and pray. Our first book is “Bad Girls of the Bible and What We Can Learn from Them” by Liz Curtis Higgs. Bring Your Own Breakfast or something to share!
GriefShare Support Group
A GriefShare Group will meet on Tuesday evenings, from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m., January 28th to May 13th, in Room 8. A GriefShare support group is a safe, welcoming place where people understand the difficult emotions of grief. Through this 13-week group, you’ll discover what to expect in the days ahead and what’s “normal” in grief. Since there are no neat, orderly stages of grief, you’ll learn helpful ways of coping with grief, in all its unpredictability; and gain solid support each step of the way. The cost for the workbook is $20, which you will use for the 13 weeks. You can register at griefshare.org or contact the Church Office.
AHBC Chili Cook Off Fundraiser
The AHBC Chili Cook Off will take place on Sunday, February 2nd, from 12:00 Noon to 2:00 p.m., in the Fellowship Hall. This is a fundraiser to help the Children’s Ministry raise funds for Pre-Teen Camp. Contestant entry fee is $25. Tasting fee is $5 per person. You can pay at the door with cash or check made payable to AHBC. Contestants can register on this website under Connect/Realm or call the Church Office.
